"Everyday I see or hear something that more or less kills me with delight" - Mary Oliver

This Humid House is a botanical design studio founded in Singapore that is committed to developing a language expressed through plants and flowers that is sensitive to climate, geography, culture and the contemporary.

Based in Singapore and Paris, we are known for creating experiences and telling stories through botanical elements for weddings and events. Beyond implementation, we also consult for luxury brand activations and campaigns that have a botanical component.

Wherever our work takes us, we bring only our approach to botanical design informed by a deep reverence for nature, always keeping an ear out for what the seasons may have to say.

SERVICES

WEDDINGS

Plants and flowers have played a significant role in the rituals and festivities of humanity throughout history and we have the privilege of building upon these traditions in ways that are most meaningful to our clients.

Working alongside the best wedding planners and vendors in the industry, we conceptualise and deliver experiences that are calibrated to engage on an emotional level.

Having had expertise working internationally, we lean on our network of local partner florists in popular wedding destinations such as Bali, France and Italy.

EVENTS

We work with event planners, luxury brands and corporate clients for galas, exhibitions and fashion presentations.

Understanding the brief and client's desires comes first, whilst digesting the constraints of time and space, we conduct site visits whenever possible.

We design holistically with the understanding that the guest experience is a choreography of many parts. Our botanical styling proposals take into consideration spatial proportions, interior material finishes and existing lighting conditions – what we refer to as the mise-en-scene – the result being a detail oriented, nuanced and calibrated product for each event.

Our design scope often includes making recommendations for production and additional lighting as needed. We bring our expertise in executing logistically challenging styling work for large and complex events, or events that last over several days or even weeks.

Our designs optimize the use of plant and floral materials in ways that are most cost efficient for our clients that also honour our commitment to sustainability.

FLORAL CONTRACTS

We work collaboratively with clients to co-create botanical signatures of a place.

Whether it is a home, retail store, gallery, hospitality establishment or brand, our dedication is to understanding their identities and landing on a look and feel that strikes a balance between botanical elements and the specificities of a space.

We are determined to find creative solutions that meet our client's budgetary and operational concerns that are also sustainable for the environment. Our use of botanical materials go beyond just the use of cut flowers—our use of whole plants have opened the door to even more creative possibilities and has the added benefit of increasing the longevity of the arrangements.

For clients who have access to a local or in-house florist or service staff, a consultation and training model may be preferable. We ensure that our designs can be executed with consistency by other parties and provide a selection of seasonal material choices and alternative suggestions.

Our design consultation includes training and workshops to ensure that they have operational agency over their own floral installations.

COLLABORATIONS

We welcome invitations to work on commissioned Art, styling projects, editorial shoots, set design, film and television scenography, etc. in a multitude of capacities; as creators, collaborators, consultants and as creative leads.
